Volkswagen ID.6 X
The ID.6 X is Volkswagen’s second MEB model produced in China, after the smaller ID.4 Crozz and its clone ID.4X, and it is made by the SAIC-Volkswagen joint venture. The similar ID.6 Crozz is produced by the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture. It’s a three-row crossover, at 4,876mm the ID.6 is nearly 300mm longer than the ID.4, and it has a wheelbase of 2,965mm, making it the largest model on the MEB platform. Prices range from 239,900 yuan (€31.600,- / US$ 37,100) to 335.900 yuan (€44.300,- / US$ 51,900).
The Volkswagen ID.6 X is a sportier version of the Volkswagen ID.6 Crozz that was first introduced in 2022. It has a more aggressive exterior design and a higher ground clearance than the ID.6 Crozz. The ID.6 X is powered by the same 77.4-kWh battery pack as the ID.6 Crozz, but it produces 295 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. This gives it a slightly faster 0-60 mph time of 6.5 seconds.
The ID.6 X is available in rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configurations. It is equipped with the same driver-assistance features as the ID.6 Crozz, plus an additional feature called Travel Assist. Travel Assist allows the ID.6 X to drive itself on highways up to 130 mph. The ID.6 X is a great choice for buyers who are looking for a sporty electric SUV with a long range and a variety of features. It is not as affordable as some rivals, but it is a great car for people who are looking for a sustainable and practical vehicle that is also fun to drive.
