Suzuki Swace
The Suzuki Swace is a mid-size station wagon that was introduced as a result of a collaboration between Suzuki and Toyota. It’s essentially a rebadged version of the Toyota Corolla Touring Sports, catering to certain markets where Suzuki has a strong presence. The Suzuki Across is basically a rebadged Toyota Corolla wagon hybrid, and thus only available as a hybrid station wagon. It was introduced in Europe to lower the brand’s fleet CO2 emissions.
Suzuki Swace Overview
As a part of a broader alliance between Toyota and Suzuki, both companies agreed to share certain models and technologies. The Suzuki Swace is one product of this collaboration, with Suzuki offering its version of Toyota’s Corolla Touring Sports. Visually, the Swace closely resembles the Toyota Corolla Touring Sports but with Suzuki’s unique branding and some minor cosmetic tweaks to differentiate it from the Toyota version. The interior design and layout are largely carried over from the Toyota model, boasting a modern and spacious cabin.
The Swace is powered by a 1.8-liter hybrid engine that produces 122 horsepower and 105 lb-ft of torque. It is available with a choice of automatic transmissions. The Swace is available in two trim levels: SZ-T and SZ-G. The SZ-T trim comes standard with features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth, and a rearview camera. The SZ-G trim adds features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a JBL sound system, and automatic climate control.
