Here are six must-read, must-watch auto news stories, reviews, and videos for Wednesday, March 25, 2015.
FUTURE CAR
CAR Magazine dives deep into the upcoming second-generation Jaguar XF. It looks terrific. The only problem? It looks exactly like you thought it would, as Jaguar becomes another Audi or BMW with nothing more than scaled versions of the same exterior design.
INSIDE THE AUTO BUSINESS
Ford Motor Company, together with Changan Ford, is planning to build the new Edge in a $760M factory in Hangzhou, China, according to the Detroit News.
INSIDE THE AUTO “MEDIA” BUSINESS
The Telegraph says Jeremy Clarkson really will be fired by the BBC. Where will he end up? What are the possibilities for Jezza’s replacement?
REVIEW
Automobile’s Marc Noodeloos is spending time with the magazine’s long-term Mini Cooper tester and has plenty to say about its big wheels.
RECALL
No change since yesterday’s Mercedes-Benz and Toyota recalls.
WATCH
You expect a lot of things at Goodwood. This is not one of those things.
1. It's omitted in the article, that 2nd gen LaCrosse is well sold in the US, its main North American market (see your own sales numbers on this site).
2. In Canada, 2nd gen LaCrosse indeed has relatively low popularity (however, every weekend I still see some 2nd gen LaCrosses here in Toronto, ON running around), but this certainly does not mean it's a bad car – it just does not align well with the taste of average Canadian customer.
3. I recently bought a used one (certified pre-owned 2010 2nd gen LaCrosse CXL + additional options, Canadian version, with speedometer in kmh) and, personally, I find a car to be a great family sedan. Besides, 2nd gen LaCrosse was an IIHS top safety pick for 2010 (much unlike bigger Lucerne, for example).
4. So, If somebody is looking for a mid/big family sedan, I would certainly advise to take a look at 2nd gen LaCrosse (2010-present).
1st gen LaCrosse (2005-2009, called Allure in Canada), despite being more abundant on Canadian used cars market, certainly does not hold a candle to the 2nd gen.
1: Read the same review done with the U.S. market in mind:

2: "It just does ot align wel with the taste of average Canadian customer." Well said.
3. The used car market dramatically alters all playing fields because there is no uniform price structure. Once depreciation has its way and all model years are taken into account, all perspectives change.
4. The Allure had no allure.
