NHTSA says 13,358 of the first built-for-civilians Hummer will be recalled because of water that can leak into the windshield wiper motor module and render the wipers ineffective.
The Hummer H2, a vehicle reviewed by The Good Car Guy after a drive at GM’s proving grounds, is a large vehicle with already limited visibility. Were snow to smother your view, you’d be in trouble. Although this Recall affects the ’03 Hummer H2, it is ironic that another wiper-related recall is also in effect for the ’06-’08 Hummer H2. Fortunately that’s not as serious as the issue that Hummer H1 customers had to deal with in a recent recall.
Notices should be out by November. For more info check gm.com/recall.
