The Kia Stonic is a subcompact crossover SUV produced by the South Korean manufacturer Kia Motors. Introduced in 2017, the Stonic is one of the newer additions to Kia’s lineup, aiming to cater to the growing demand for compact, urban-friendly SUVs. The Kia Stonic is an affordable small SUV with funky looks and an industry-leading warranty, but alternatives are roomier and have posher-feeling interiors. It is currently in its second generation, which was introduced in 2021.

The Kia Stonic was unveiled in 2017 and was designed to tap into the booming subcompact SUV segment, offering a blend of practicality, style, and urban agility. Many markets offer two-tone paint schemes, allowing the roof to be a different color than the body, giving consumers a way to personalize their vehicle.

The Stonic is available in both gasoline and mild-hybrid models. Gasoline-powered models are powered by a 1.2L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 83 horsepower and 118 lb-ft of torque. Mild-hybrid models are powered by a 1.0L turbocharged three-cylinder engine and an electric motor that produce a combined 108 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque. All models come standard with front-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is available.
