Jeep Sales Data, Trends & Analysis for the European Automotive Market
Jeep sales and market share fluctuated in Europe from 2009 to 2013, as new model introductions have influenced the sales success of the brand. After declining from 2007 to 2010 and losing two thirds of its volume, sales doubled from 2010 to 2012, but were down again in 2013. Since 2014, sales of the Jeep brand shot up to a peak at an unprecedented over 100,000 sales in 2016 and 2017, quadrupling its volume in just 3 years time.
Jeep Europe Sales Figures & Recent Highlights
Jeep Europe sales figures have been declining in recent years after a very strong run of growth. In 2020, Jeep sold 120,422 cars in Europe. In 2021, Jeep sales in Europe increased to 127,315 cars. And in 2022, Jeep sales in Europe fell to 104,061 cars. We expect the brand to grow again as its new models grow in presence.
The Wrangler 4xe is a plug-in hybrid SUV that was launched in Europe in 2020. The Wrangler 4xe has been well-received by consumers, but it has not been enough to offset the decline in sales of Jeep’s other models. Jeep is now under the same ownership as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, and the companies are working together to develop new models. This partnership could help Jeep to improve its sales in Europe.
Overall, Jeep Europe sales have been declining in recent years. The company is facing a number of challenges, including the popularity of SUVs, the shift to electric vehicles, and the lack of new models. Jeep is working to address these challenges, but it remains to be seen if the company will be able to turn things around in Europe.
