Honda CR-V Generations
First Generation (1995-2001)
The first generation CR-V was introduced in 1995 and was a major success for Honda. Debuted in 1995 in Japan and entered the North American market in 1997. It was one of the first compact SUVs on the market and offered a spacious interior and comfortable ride. It was powered by a 2.0L inline-4 engine. Launched as a compact SUV with a car-like unibody construction, a departure from the traditional body-on-frame construction of other SUVs of the time.
Second Generation (2001-2006)
The second generation CR-V was introduced in 2002 and was a refinement of the first generation design. It offered more interior space and features, and it was also available with a four-wheel drive system. It was powered by a 2.4L inline-4 engine. Featured more refined styling, a larger size, and increased performance. Introduced more comfort and convenience features.
Third Generation (2006-2011)
The third generation CR-V was introduced in 2007 and was a major redesign. It was larger and more powerful than the previous generations, and it also offered more features.
