Hawtai Boliger
The Hawtai Boliger is an SUV built on the platform of the first generation Hyundai Santa Fe. The Chinese company HawTai Motor previously cooperated with the Korean company. Therefore, the vehicle received a MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension. The vehicle was equipped with a 1.8-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 160 hp or a 2-liter turbocharged diesel engine wi th 150 hp. Both engines were paired with a basic 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The diesel engines were offered for both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions. The top engine was a 2.4-liter unit with 200 hp, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system. The top-end Hawtai Boliger could be rightfully called premium SUV.
