Different Spirit is on its way back at Citroen, one half of the Peugeot Citroen (PSA) group in France. Customers around the world, even in North America, would remember the DS of the 50s, 60s, and 70s. DS will again take on significance as an upmarket Citroen, but this time, it’ll be x3.
The first signal we receive is the DS Inside concept. Likely to become the DS3, the Inside concept looks likely to compete as a handsome upmarket small hatchback. One would assume the Mini Cooper or Alfa Romeo MiTo are ideal competitors. Citroen normally undercuts the competition regardless of the market region.
