Strangely enough, the long-running Ford Escape MK1 forges on with more new technology. Yes, strangely enough; Ford has been known to use its small SUV as a technology testbed before installing systems in other cars. First we saw a hybrid escape, a decent effort that was produced despite the fact that a Focus hybrid could have returned otherworldly mileage. Now Ford is installing Park Assist in the 2010 Escape.
Like the system seen in the Lexus LS460, the driver must first allow the vehicle to find a parking spot before the vehicle can ever take over.
