US auto sales emerged from a tough December in a better shape than was forecast. Although 2017 marks the end of a seven-year run of year-on-year vehicle sales growth, 17.2 million vehicles were still sold in the USA in the 12 months running up to last Sunday. Pickups dominate the podium spots for the year, as was expected, with the Ford F-Series making it 41 years at the top of the US Auto market with a staggering 5.2% market share.
