Chevrolet Seeker
The new compact SUV joins the all-new Tracker RS small SUV, Equinox midsize SUV and Blazer mid-large SUV in the brand’s China lineup, giving it a refreshed portfolio across the segment. The all-new Seeker is available in five variants, including two RS trims. The choice of seven exterior colors includes Contemporary Gold, which GM custom-made for the first time for the domestic market and China’s young trendsetting generation. The Seeker is priced between RMB 139,900 and RMB 164,900.
Chevrolet Seeker Overview
The Chevrolet Seeker is a subcompact crossover SUV that was launched in China in 2022. It is based on the GM VSS-F platform and is powered by a turbocharged 1.5L Ecotec engine that produces 177 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to a CVT automatic transmission.
The Seeker is available in five trim levels: LS, LT, 1RS, 2RS, and Redline Plus. The LS is the base model and comes standard with features such as 16-inch alloy wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a rearview camera. The LT adds features such as fog lights, heated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The 1RS and 2RS trims add more sporty styling elements, while the Redline Plus is the top-of-the-line trim and comes standard with features such as a panoramic sunroof, a Bose sound system, and wireless charging.
The Seeker is equipped with a new 1.5T four-cylinder direct injection turbocharged Ecotec engine that has been tested in China for 20,375 hours and five million kilometers for the durability of nine engine systems. Paired with an advanced continuously variable transmission (CVT), it delivers 135 kW of maximum power and 250 Nm of peak torque at an engine speed of 1,500-5,000 rpm, allowing 0-100 km/h acceleration in 7.9 seconds and fuel efficiency as low as 6.5 liters/100 km under WLTC conditions.
The Chevrolet Seeker is a stylish and practical subcompact crossover SUV that offers a good balance of performance, fuel efficiency, and features. It is currently only available in China, but it is rumored to be coming to the United States in 2024 as the Chevrolet Trax.
