Canada's Best Selling Vehicles

The best-selling vehicles in Canada have changed significantly in the last decade. In 2013, the top five best-selling vehicles were all sedans: the Honda Civic, the Ford F-Series pickup truck, the Toyota Corolla, the Hyundai Elantra, and the Chevrolet Cruze. By 2022, the top five best-selling vehicles were all SUVs or crossover SUVs: the Toyota RAV4, the Ford F-Series pickup truck, the Honda CR-V, the Ram 1500 pickup truck, and the Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. This shift in sales reflects the same trends that are happening in the United States, including rising fuel prices, the aging Canadian population, and the growing popularity of SUVs and outdoor activities. In addition to the shift from sedans to SUVs, there have been a few other notable changes in the best-selling vehicles in Canada in the last decade. For example, the Honda Civic, which was once the best-selling vehicle in Canada, has been overtaken by the Toyota RAV4 in recent years. This is due in part to the rise of SUVs, but also to the increasing popularity of hybrid and electric vehicles. The Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and the Honda CR-V Hybrid are two of the most popular hybrid vehicles in Canada, and they have both seen their sales increase significantly in recent years. The Tesla Model 3 is also becoming increasingly popular in Canada, and it is expected to crack the top 10 best-selling vehicles list in the coming years.
