Here you will find annual car sales figures for Bulgaria. These statistics are Total Market Volumes, which include passenger cars as well as light commercial vehicles (LCVs).
Since the mid-2000s, the Bulgarian car market has fluctuated heavily, growing to a peak of over 55.000 sales in 2008 before collapsing by almost half in the next year (similar to Croatia) and by another third in 2010 to a low of under 19.000 sales that year, just a third of its volume of two years earlier. The market has been in recovery since, with double digit growth in 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2017, and is back to above its 2009 level. During the good times, LCV sales made up over 20% of total car sales in Bulgaria, but their share dropped to an average of 15% since 2009 with a low of 12,7% in 2012.
