The Buick Envista is a compact crossover SUV with a sloping rear roofline produced by General Motors under the Buick brand since 2022. It was unveiled for the Chinese market in August 2022. In April 2023, GM introduced the vehicle in the United States. The Envista is front-wheel drive-only (like the Trax), while the Encore GX has available all-wheel drive. That alone will attract different customers. The Envista is actually 11 inches longer, including a wheelbase that grew by 4 inches, and the sleeker coupe-like vehicle is 3 inches lower. But don’t call it a sedan, or an SUV, it is a crossover designed to attract sedan owners and those who want to put a toe into the utility vehicle water.
