Not long after it was revealed that preeminent supercar manufacturer Ferrari fell under a recall banner for its 612 Scaglietti (less than 400 cars), prominent luxury car maker Bentley will be recalling Continentals. The difference? The Continental GT, GTC, and Flying Spur are some of the least expensive Bentleys in a long time while also being highly desirable. In other words, there are a lot of them.
13,000 Bentleys, built from 2004 through 2008, may suffer from a problem that leads road salt to eat through the fuel filter housing which could lead to fuel spray which could lead to….. fire. More interesting than the Recall would be how many owners it takes to find 13,000 Bentley Continentals. Surely some celebs, athletes, and wealthy oil barons own one of each.
