Baojun RS-3 Overview
The RS-3 is the fourth model in Baojun’s new product portfolio introduced this year, joining the RS-5 SUV, RM-5 MPV, and RC-6 sedan. Based on the latest R architecture developed by the SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) joint venture, the RS-3 also adopts Baojun’s new “interstellar geometry” design language. The crossover features Baojun’s new corporate grille and logo, bulged front fenders and rear haunches, an aggressive front end featuring split headlights, rugged black plastic cladding, and a “floating” roof.
The RS-3 is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that produces 147 horsepower and 185 Nm of torque. It is available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT. The RS-3 has a spacious interior that can seat up to 5 passengers. The cargo space measures 410 liters, which can be expanded to 1,250 liters by folding down the rear seats. The RS-3 comes standard with a variety of features, including a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a rearview camera, and Bluetooth connectivity. The RS-3 is also available in a W version, which has a more powerful 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that produces 177 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. The W version starts at ¥74,800 (around $11,300).
