Volkswagen Fox

The Volkswagen Fox was introduced in 2005 as a replacement to the Volkswagen Lupo. In its turn, the Fox was replaced in 2011 by the Volkswagen Up!.

Volkswagen Fox Overview

The Volkswagen Fox is a subcompact hatchback that was produced by Volkswagen from 2003 to 2019. It was based on the Volkswagen Gol, but it was designed specifically for the Latin American market. The Fox was powered by a variety of engines, including a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine, a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, and a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It was available with a choice of manual or automatic transmissions. The Fox was available in two body styles: a hatchback and a sedan. It was also available in a variety of trim levels, including the base Fox, the Fox Plus, and the Fox Cross.

The Fox was a popular car in Latin America and it was sold in many countries, including Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina. However, it was discontinued in 2019. The last Volkswagen Fox rolled off the assembly line in São Bernardo do Campo, Brazil on December 10, 2019. The demise of the Fox was due to a number of factors, including declining sales, the rise of SUVs and crossovers, and the increasing popularity of electric vehicles.
