Nio ET7 Overview
The Nio ET7 is a luxury electric sedan manufactured by Nio, a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer. It was first unveiled in 2021 and is expected to be launched in China in 2022. The sedan showcases a sleek and aerodynamic design, with a streamlined shape and minimalistic yet aggressive styling cues.
The ET7 is powered by a 100 kWh battery pack that can deliver a range of up to 1,000 kilometers (621 miles) on a single charge. It is available in rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) variants. The RWD variant produces 483 horsepower and 700 Nâ‹…m (516 lbâ‹…ft) of torque, while the AWD variant produces 544 horsepower and 850 Nâ‹…m (627 lbâ‹…ft) of torque.
Nio claimed an impressive range for the ET7, especially with its 150 kWh solid-state battery pack, although as with all EVs, real-world range can differ from the official numbers. At the time of its unveiling, the ET7’s range was touted to be one of the longest in the EV market.
The ET7 is equipped with a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12.3-inch head-up display. It also comes standard with a panoramic sunroof, a 23-speaker sound system, and a wireless charging pad.
The ET7 is available in two trim levels: Standard and Performance. The Standard trim starts at ¥448,000 (US$68,000), while the Performance trim starts at ¥528,000 (US$80,000). The Nio ET7 is a direct competitor to the Tesla Model S and the Mercedes-Benz EQS. It is a stylish and luxurious sedan with a long range and a powerful electric powertrain. It is expected to be launched in Norway in 2022 and in Europe in 2023.
