MG ZR
The MG ZR is a hot hatch produced by MG Rover at their Longbridge plant in Birmingham from 2001 to 2005. It is a sportier version of the Rover 25, with a number of styling modifications and performance enhancements. The ZR was available with a choice of three engines: a 1.4-liter 105 hp (77 kW) petrol engine, a 1.6-liter 117 hp (87 kW) petrol engine, and a 1.8-liter 160 hp (119 kW) petrol engine. All engines were available with either a manual or automatic transmission.
The ZR was praised for its handling and performance, but criticized for its interior quality and reliability. It was also one of the most expensive hot hatches on the market. The MG ZR was discontinued in 2005 due to the financial problems of MG Rover.
