Jeep Grand Commander
The Grand Commander is a China-only 7-seat SUV that competes with cars like the Ford Edge, Toyota Highlander and Volkswagen Teramont. Prices run from 279.800 yuan (US$ 43,500 / €37.500) to 409.800 yuan (US$ 63,800 / €55.000). It is powered by a 2-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine in two configurations: 234hp or 265hp, both mated to a 9-speed automatic. A V6 is not available, which may hurt its chances in China. However, a plug-in hybrid version is scheduled to launch in 2019, which combines the high output 2.0 with an electric motor.
