Buick Velite 7 Sales Data & Trends
The Velite 7 is the third model in Buick’s Velite series of “new energy” vehicles for China, after the Velite 5 which is a rebadged second generation Chevrolet Volt and the Velite 6 which is a station wagon available as both a plug-in hybrid with the same powertrain as the Volt/Velite 5, and a full electric powertrain.
The Buick Velite 7 EV is powered by an electric motor with 174hp/130 kW and 360 Nm (266 lb⋅ft) of torque and has a battery with 55.6 kWh capacity giving it a range of up to 500 km on the NEDC test cycle.
Prices range from 179,800 yuan (€21.800,- / US$ 25,900) and 199.800 yuan (€24.200,- / US$ 28,800) which puts it in the same range as cars like the BYD Song Pro EV (179,800-219,800 yuan), Honda XN-V (169,800-179,800 yuan), GAC Aion V (159,600-239,600 yuan), Hyundai Encino EV (172,800-198,800 yuan) and Toyota C-HR EV (225,800-249,800 yuan).
