BAW BJ20
The BJ20 is an outrageously styled mid-sized SUV, and a huge departure from the unexcited design the company normally applies on its new vehicles. The Beijing Auto BJ20 is manufactured by Beijing Auto Works (BAW), a subsidiary of the Beijing Auto Industry Corporation, or BAIC.
BAW BJ20 Overview
BAW makes various off road-style passenger cars that always look a tad too much like a Jeep or like a Mercedes-Benz. The BJ20 however is unique, mad from front to end. The bumper is gray and gigantic; the blue headlights are large and round, topped by a second set of lights. The grille is relatively small but very shiny. The hood is bulbous with an air intake in the middle.
The wheel arches are level on top and in the same color as the bumper. The mirrors are huge and the A pillar is black. The windshield stands almost straight up, leading to a flat roof with a rail on each side. There is a pronounced crease over the fenders and flanks. It never stops. The BJ20 is a daring piece of work. The engine is a 1.5 turbo sourced from Mitsubishi, it has an output of just 147 hp and 210 Nm, which doesn’t seem quite enough to for 4.5X meter of car with aerodynamics of a brick. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual or a CVT, and powers only the front wheels.
