Baojun 310 Sales Figures

The Baojun 310

The 310 is a small hatchback based on the Chevrolet Sail as an entry-level car for Shanghai-GM-Wuling’s Baojun brand. It has a modern design with large grille and headlights, sharp creases in the sides and a wrap-around rear window. Power comes from the same engine as the  Sail: a 1.5-liter and a 5-speed manual transmission. Dimensions of the 310 are 4.032/1.680/1.470 mm with a 2.550mm wheelbase. Prices start at an incredibly low 36.800 yuan (€4.990,- / US$ 5,470). That doesn’t keep Baojun from putting in a touchscreen on top of the center console, although not as big as has become the trend among Chinese automakers, even in some of their cheapest cars. Rivals include the Changan Benni, Chery QQ and Suzuki Alto.

Baojun 310 Overview

the Baojun 310 is a compact hatchback produced by Baojun, a Chinese automobile brand. Baojun is a joint venture between General Motors (GM), SAIC Motor Corporation, and Wuling Motors. The Baojun 310 was first introduced in 2016 as an affordable and practical hatchback designed for the Chinese market. It falls into the small car segment and is positioned as an entry-level model, making it appealing to budget-conscious consumers seeking a reliable and efficient vehicle.

The 310 is powered by a 1.2-liter naturally-aspirated engine that produces 82 horsepower and 116 Nm of torque. It is available with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The 310 has a spacious interior that can seat up to five passengers. The cargo space measures 290 liters, which can be expanded to 930 liters by folding down the rear seats. The 310 comes standard with a variety of features, including a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a rearview camera, and Bluetooth connectivity. Available features include a sunroof, a parking sensor, and a cruise control. The Baojun 310 starts at ¥36,800 (around $5,700). It is a good choice for buyers who are looking for a cheap and practical hatchback.

Baojun 310 Sales Data & Trends

The Baojun 310 is primarily targeted at the Chinese domestic market. Baojun has been successful in establishing a strong presence in China’s entry-level car segment, offering a range of affordable and practical vehicles to meet the needs of different customers. It is the cheapest car in the Baojun lineup, and it is positioned below the Baojun 330. In recent years the model has seen sales decline quite rapidly.
