Ironically appropriate, the recently reset world record for the longest ever drift was set by a brand new Ford Mustang; not a Nissan 370Z or Mazda RX-8. As you’ll see at the end of the video below where Vaughn Gittin attempts to break (and does break) the world record by a couple thousand feet at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Japan still has plenty to do with drift culture.
