Acura TSX Sales Figures

The Acura TSX

The Acura TSX is a compact executive car that was manufactured by Honda and sold through its Acura division from 2003 to 2014. The TSX spanned two generations, both derived from the corresponding Japanese/European versions of the Honda Accord, which were more compact and sporting-oriented than its larger North American counterpart, the latter platform which also used for the Acura TL which slotted above the TSX in Acura’s lineup. All TSXs were built in Sayama, Saitama, Japan. The TSX was discontinued in 2014. It was replaced by the Acura ILX, which is a smaller and less expensive car.

Acura TSX Brief Overview

The Acura TSX is a compact luxury sedan and wagon produced by Acura, Honda’s luxury division. It was first introduced in 2003 and was based on the European Honda Accord. The TSX was designed to offer a sporty and upscale driving experience with a focus on handling, performance, and comfort. It served as an entry-level luxury vehicle in Acura’s lineup. The Acura TSX featured a sleek and modern design, with clean lines and a sporty stance. It was built on a modified version of the European Honda Accord’s platform, which contributed to its nimble handling characteristics.

The first generation TSX was introduced in 2003 and was powered by a 2.4-liter inline-four engine that produced 200 horsepower. It was available with a six-speed manual transmission or a five-speed automatic transmission. The second generation TSX was introduced in 2009 and was powered by a 2.4-liter inline-four engine that produced 201 horsepower. It was available with a six-speed manual transmission or a five-speed automatic transmission.

The Acura TSX was discontinued after the 2014 model year. Acura decided to streamline its sedan lineup and replace the TSX and the larger Acura TL with the Acura TLX, which combines elements from both models to offer a refreshed and unified luxury sedan.
