2026 U.S. Midsize Luxury SUV Sales Figures – By Model
This page ranks 2026 United States sales for every midsize luxury SUV nameplate reported so far this year, covering the two and three row premium crossovers that sit above the compact luxury class. Each nameplate in the rankings table links to its dedicated GCBC sales history page, and the tables and charts update automatically as each new month of data is reported.
The segment’s eight Lexus, Acura, Genesis and Lincoln nameplates are the only ones with July and August figures, so they make up the August rankings table below, while the quarterly table and the month-by-month matrix further down carry all 37 nameplates in the segment. The largest absentees are the BMW X5 and the Mercedes-Benz GLE, and their sales through June alone, 41,554 and 37,008, would each be enough for a top-three place in the August table.
Through August 2026, the Lexus RX leads those eight at 80,454 sales, more than twice the 38,208 of the Lexus TX in second place. The Acura MDX is third at 33,903, and both it and the Genesis GV80, at 18,247, have sold more than in the same months of 2025. Three of the eight are down on the year: the Lexus GX by 20.0 percent to 20,505, the Lincoln Nautilus by 1.7 percent to 23,677, and the Acura ZDX, which has left the market, at 108 against 11,520 a year ago.

The table below ranks those eight nameplates by U.S. sales, with monthly and year-to-date totals and year-over-year changes. In August 2026 the Lexus RX led with 10,256 sales, ahead of the Acura MDX at 5,016, the Lexus TX at 5,015 and the Lincoln Nautilus at 3,627. The table sorts by year-to-date sales, which is why the TX sits above the MDX and the Lexus GX above the Genesis GV80 despite a smaller August in each case. The MDX grew the most in August, by 1,999 units and 66.3 percent. Together they sold 31,062 units in August, up 10.0 percent on the same month last year.

The segment moved from 189,198 units in the first quarter to 210,043 in the second, a gain of 11.0 percent, and across the whole field the Volvo XC90 added the most units, rising from 8,513 to 14,025.
