Our Take

The Integra Type S DE5 is Honda Performance Development’s (HPD) newest offering for Touring Car racing in North America, based on the Acura Integra Type S.

HPD tweaked the motor with a turbo-back exhaust system, added an HPD Borla downpipe, and HPD/Hasport polyurethane engine mounts. A six-speed sequential transmission with paddle shifters transfers power to the wheels.

The front suspension features a dual-axis MacPherson strut arrangement, two-way inverted double adjustable dampers, and spherical suspension bushings, among other enhancements.
