Not unpredictably, U.S. minivan sales fell 7% in December 2013; 4% over the course of 2013. Minivans generated just 3.4% of the U.S. new vehicle market’s 2013 volume, down from 3.8% in 2012.
The best-selling minivan in America in 2013 was the Honda Odyssey, as it was in December. But the Odyssey only attracted 24.2% of all minivan buyers – Chrysler’s Dodge Grand Caravan and Town & Country twins owned 46.3% of the minivan market.  However, the Odyssey’s figure was up from 22.7% in 2012, and the Chrysler duo’s market share tally grew from 45.6% a year ago.
