2013 U.S Best Selling Vehicles (All Segments)

The Best-Selling Cars, SUVs, Minivans and Trucks

The Top-Selling Vehicles in the U.S Automotive Market for 2013

In 2010, the U.S. auto industry began to show signs of recovery from the severe downturn experienced in 2008 and 2009. While economic uncertainties remained, automakers introduced new models and features to attract buyers. Fuel efficiency, technology, and design became key selling points. Pickup trucks and midsize sedans continued to be the most popular vehicle segments in 2013, with the Ford F-Series and Toyota Camry leading the way. Crossover SUVs also remained popular, with the Honda CR-V and Ford Escape cracking the top 10 list.

The F-Series held onto its long-standing position as the top-selling vehicle in the U.S. The Chevrolet Silverado truck maintained its place as the second-best-selling vehicle. Consistently among the top sellers, the Toyota Camry retained its position due to its reputation for reliability and value and held its position as the best-selling passenger car for the year yet again. As with the Camry, the Honda Accord’s longstanding reputation for reliability kept it in the top ranks of best-selling vehicles.
