These days, automobiles will keep you surprisingly safe in the event of a crash. I say surprising because every time I see the result of a crumpled car and the driver standing next to it unscathed, I’m impressed. Please get it fixed. NHTSA says dealers will inspect the driver’s airbag squib wires and replace the steering column control module free of charge.
