Maserati Sales Data, Trends, Analysis & Current Lineup for the U.S Automotive Market

This is your hub for all of the Maserati sales data for the U.S market. Maserati, the Italian luxury brand related to Ferrari, has greatly improved its sales in the United States with the addition of the Ghibli large sedan and the new generation Quattroporte limousine besides its GranTurismo coupe and convertible. In 2016, the Levante SUV will help Maserati grow even further, especially in North America where demand for such a vehicle is very high. Maserati imports all of its cars for the US market from its factory in Modena, Italy.

When it comes to luxury vehicle brands, Maserati is the cream of the crop. It is known for being an ultra-exclusive brand among other luxury automobiles. But this Italian sports car isn’t just known for looking pretty — it also has some of the best performance stats of any passenger vehicle. This seems natural for the Italian luxury brand, since it originally started as a produced of racing cars back for much of its early history. It was only in the late 1950s that Maserati shifted their focus into designing and developing performance vehicles.

Many classic Maserati vehicles are now seen as highly collectible vehicles. One vehicle — the 1955 Maserati 300 S — actually set a sales record. It sold for $6.5 million at a British auction in 2013. When you think about that sale, the six-figure prices of some of the current lineup might seem like a bargain.

The Best-Selling Maserati Cars & SUVs in the United States

Unfortunately Maserati doesn’t break out sales in the US. In terms of the best-sellers, it is pretty clear that the Levante SUV is the volume mover in the U.S. The Ghibli used to be a big seller, but it really struggled and we suspect sales are pretty paltry.

The Current Maserati Model Lineup & Prices in the U.S

Maserati sales in the US have been declining since 2016. There are a few reasons for this decline. One reason is that Maserati is a relatively small brand, and it competes with larger and more established brands like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi. Another reason is that Maserati cars are relatively expensive, given the quality. Maserati’s current lineup is a mix of ageing cars and a new generation of machines Maserati hopes will turn things around.

Maserati Grecale

Starts at $63,500

The Maserati Grecale is a mid-size luxury SUV that was first released in 2022. It is the second SUV in the Maserati lineup, following the Levante. The Grecale is based on the same platform as the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, but it has a more luxurious interior and a sportier design. The Grecale is available in two trim levels: GT and Modena. The GT is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 296 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. The Modena is powered by a 3.0L turbocharged V6 engine that produces 325 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Grecale comes standard with a variety of features, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Harman Kardon sound system, and a panoramic sunroof. The Grecale starts at $63,500.

Maserati Ghibli

Starts at $85,300

There is no current Maserati Ghibli because it has been discontinued after the 2022 model year. Maserati announced in 2021 that it would be discontinuing the Ghibli, along with the Quattroporte sedan, to focus on its SUV lineup. The last Maserati Ghibli was powered by a 3.0L turbocharged V6 engine that produced 345 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. It was available in rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configurations. The Ghibli was a stylish and powerful sedan that offered a good blend of performance, features, and luxury. However, it was not the most affordable sedan, and it was not as spacious as some rivals. The Maserati Ghibli was available in a variety of colors, including black, white, gray, blue, and red. We are still seeing them in dealerships so we have included it here because Maserati will still sell you one.

Maserati Levante
