2011 U.S. Vehicle Sales Rankings – Every Vehicle Ranked By Sales Volume
Americans acquired more than 12 million new vehicles in 2011, up 10% from 2010’s 11.4 million new vehicle sales. This you knew a couple months ago. What GoodCarBadCar is now providing are these rankings: every single new vehicle on sale in the United States slotted in according to their yearly volume in 2011. Unfortunately, we have no figures for the Ferrari 458 Italia and its ilk, but anything produced by the 35 leading automobile brands are ranked in the exhaustive table below.
There are a few surprises near the bottom of the rankings. General Motors was still getting rid of TrailBlazers and Envoys in 2011? The Lexus SC430 and Honda S2000 also make appearances. Of course, at the top of the list surprises are nonexistent. The Ford F-Series was the best-selling pickup truck and #1 vehicle overall. America’s favourite car was still the Toyota Camry and the top SUV was the Ford Escape. No premium nameplate found more buyers than the BMW 3-Series. And the Toyota Sienna was the best-selling minivan in America.
