Nissan Cube
Here you will find monthly and yearly Canadian, European and U.S. sales figures for the Nissan Cube. The Nissan Cube is a distinctive, boxy compact multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) produced by Nissan. Its unique design, characterized by its asymmetrical rear window, gave it a standout appearance in a sea of traditionally shaped compact vehicles.
Nissan Cube Overview
The Cube’s design is quirky and distinctive. It’s almost perfectly box-shaped, with very rounded corners. One of its most defining features is the asymmetrical rear design. The wraparound rear window extends to only one side of the vehicle, which not only gives it a unique appearance but also offers improved visibility for the driver. The interior was designed with a “casual lounge” concept in mind. It’s spacious with ripple patterns, inspired by nature, found on the ceiling, door speakers, and cup holders.
The Cube was first introduced in Japan in 1998 and was primarily sold in Japan. The second generation Cube arrived in 2002 and this generation saw more widespread popularity in Japan and started to gain international attention. The third generation launched in 2008 and this generation was introduced to North American and European markets in 2009. However, it didn’t gain as much traction in these markets as expected. The Cube was discontinued in North America after 2014 and in Europe even earlier, after 2011. In Japan, it continued until 2019.
